Vauxhall’s next warm-ish electric car will be a new Corsa GSE, launching later in 2026. The brand has shown off a single teaser image of a camouflaged wheel with GSE labelling,

The news comes after the ‘successful launch’ – very much Vauxhall’s words, there – of the Mokka GSE, as well as the gradual rollout of the ‘Grand Sport Electric’ flagship tagline that started with the Astra.

This essentially means the Corsa GSE will benefit from the same powertrain and performance tech as the Mokka GSE, as well as wider sporty electric Stellantis group cars like the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce and upcoming Peugeot e-208 GTi.

So, expect 278bhp from a single electric motor driving the front wheels, an electric limited-slip differential and some firmer, sporty suspension. Vauxhall will also naturally apply some of its GSE design bits and pieces to the bodywork, too.

Vauxhall points to a long line of spicy Corsas and Novas, including the ASBO-spec Corsa VXR versions and the first – the Nova GSi.

We’ll find out more when the new Corsa GSE makes its public unveil later in 2026.
