Take one DS No4, add a dose of futuristic, DTM vibes and you end up with this – the Taylor made No 4 concept. Unveiled at the 2026 Brussels motor show, it was commissioned to celebrate the signing of Taylor Barnard to the DS Formula E team and the brand’s commitment to the all-electric championship. Simply put, it promises to take the No4 and turn it up to eleven.

‘I dreamt it up, DS Automobiles made it,’ said Barnard. ‘The N°4 was already my favourite model in the range, so when the brand’s design department presented me with this project, I was both enamoured and honoured.’

It’s basically a DS No4 with a sharp bodykit, so it starts with the standard car but adds a more aggressive body and exterior finishing. At the front you’ll find a No4 etched into the grille, and it’s flanked by a similar light signature to that of the normal car. What you do get here, however are a pair of pixelated headlights to go with it. Does it look a bit Hyundai Ioniq 5? Yes, but that’s no bad thing.

You get similar lights at the rear, along with a number 77 – Taylor’s number – integrated into the diffuser.

They’ve been chosen by Barnard too, so the whole car riffs on his fondness for monochrome colours, and particularly titanium. Four separate hues of the colours are used, each subtlety different, around different parts of the car. Purple is also dotted around the car, being Barnard’s favourite colour. There are even a few dashes of gold.

‘Coming up with a sports car that could be mine every day was an exciting experience,’ Barnard added. ‘This unique creation is the result of a special collaboration, reflecting the remarkable talent of the women and men from DS Automobiles, who make us dream through their new designs.’

The Taylor made No4 concept was shown alongside Barnard’s FE25 Formula E car, as well as DS’ Performance line road cars.
