Designed by renowned track architect Tony Cotman of NZR Consulting, the Markham circuit offers a mix of fast straights and challenging technical sections to create an exhilarating race environment. Notably, the layout features a double-sided pit lane—a rare and innovative addition in IndyCar street racing—to facilitate efficient and exciting pit stops.

The move to Markham follows nearly four decades of racing at Toronto’s Exhibition Place and aims to provide improved accessibility to fans, with excellent regional transportation links including major highways, GO transit, and rapid transit systems. Local officials highlight the event's potential to draw over 150,000 attendees during the three-day race weekend, boosting the region’s economy by tens of millions through tourism and hospitality.

Markham’s new race weekend promises ample spectator amenities, expansive viewing areas, and a dynamic urban backdrop close to corporate headquarters, the York University Markham Campus, and the Pan Am Centre. The partnership reflects a long-term commitment to sustain and grow IndyCar’s presence in Ontario, maintaining the province’s storied open-wheel racing tradition in a fresh and engaging setting.

The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham brings a new chapter to Canadian IndyCar racing, blending urban energy, motorsport excitement, and community engagement on a state-of-the-art street circuit set to challenge drivers and thrill fans alike.
