In 2025, Nick Sanchez drove full-time for Big Machine Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He grabbed one win, coming via Atlanta Motor Speedway and finished 11th in the standings.
That was his first run a full-time Xfinity Series ride. He previously raced full-time in the NASCAR Truck Series.
Now, heading into 2026, Sanchez is looking for a new ride. He was informed over the weekend that he would not be returning.
“Over the weekend, I was informed that I will not be driving the No. 48 for Big Machine Racing in 2026,” Sanchez opened in a social media post.
“I’m grateful for Scott Borchetta, Patrick Donahue, everyone at Chevrolet and the whole team. I am proud of all we have accomplish this year including out win. Unfortunate timing and circumstances, but it’s strictly business.”
He added, “When one door closes another one opens. Excited about what is ahead!”
