On Wednesday, conservative speaker Charlie Kirk was assassinated with a microphone in hand at Utah Valley University.
On Saturday night, Christopher Bell grabbed the NASCAR Cup Series win at Bristol Motor Speedway. He used the bumper on the final restart and went three wide to take the lead away.
It was his fourth win of the 2025 season. The trip to victory lane is the 13th of his career.
Moments after climbing from the car, Bell dedicated the win to Charlie Kirk.

“It wasn’t pretty there at the end but we got her done,” Christopher Bell stated moments after the race win.
“Most importantly, this week’s obviously been a very tough week. You know, there’s a lot on our mind.”
He concluded, “Just, this one’s for Charlie.”
The NASCAR Cup Series playoffs continue next week at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. It’s the opening race in the Round of 12.
