► New Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster revealed
► Lamborghini’s most powerful open-top car
► V12 hybrid producing 1065bhp

Lamborghini’s most powerful car has lost its lid. The Fenomeno Roadster is the latest product of the Italian manufacturer’s ‘Few-Off’ series with only 15 to be built. It follows the Fenomeno coupe, unveiled at Monterey Car Week 2025, which is itself based on the Revuelto.

Like the coupe, the Roadster features a 6.5-litre V12 and three electric motors to spit out 1065bhp, sprinting to 62mph in just 2.4 seconds. The V12 alone delivers 824bhp, making it the most powerful V12 in Lamborghini’s history – and the Fenomeno Roadster the most powerful open-top car.

Take whatever’s currently on the bedroom wall poster and replace it with the Fenomeno Roadster, because Lamborghini’s designers have carried over the coupe’s striking looks, with sharp lines and aggressive edges – and it looks, well… phenomenal.

Chief among changes from the coupe is a new aerodynamic package, which has been designed specifically for the Roadster’s roofless driving. The windscreen features an additional spoiler that directs cool air over the cockpit and into the engine bay, thanks to the absence of the coupe’s roof intake. The carbon rollover protection structures that sit behind the seats have also been redesigned as flat as possible to minimise wind noise and turbulence. The active rear wing and deep diffuser are to provide stability at high speed.

One key feature is the new, clear engine cover, which proudly displays the V12. Mitja Borkert, design director of Automobili Lamborghini, says ‘Once again, we have placed the powertrain as the center of attention. Our unique V12 hybrid powertrain must always be the main proportional aspect of visualisation.’

Heavy use of carbonfibre has also been used throughout the chassis, with the front structure made from forged composite and a monocoque made from a unique combination of long and short fibres of carbon. This allows the Roadster to achieve similar stiffness to the coupe with only a slight increase in weight over the coupe, despite no official weight figure from Lamborghini.

Manually adjustable racing shocks ensure optimum damping for both road and track driving, and CCM-R Plus carbon ceramic discs with a special coating provide strong braking performance. Bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Sport high-performance tyres are available in 20- and 21-inch (front and rear respectively), with a choice of semi-slicks designed for track but homologated for public roads.

‘Each example is conceived as a collectible masterpiece, where engineering excellence meets true bespoke craftsmanship,’ says Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.

The Fenomeno Roadster marks the latest model developed by Lamborghini Centro Stile in Sant’Agata, following the 2007 Reventon and subsequent roadster in 2009. Later models include the Veneno, Centenario, and Sian. No news on price yet, but all 15 are spoken for.
