This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series season will come to a close. Phoenix Raceway is set to host the Championship 4 finale on Sunday.
Joe Gibbs Racing has two of the four drivers in the championship battle. Both Chase Briscoe and Denny Hamlin have advanced into the championship round.
Yesterday, Toyota lost three motors during the race at Martinsville Speedway. These failures included Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe and Riley Herbst.

“I could be worried, but I can’t do anything about it, so I’m still optimistic,” said Hamlin of the engine failure.
“We’re gonna put our best foot forward, and hopefully, it’s enough next week. That’s all I can do.”
“Our performance is good. We’re up front. As long as we can keep it together, we’re fast and capable … I’ve said, come one, come all. I think that I’m gonna have to win next week if I’m gonna win the championship, and we’re gonna come prepared for that.”
“We’ve been on that all morning,” Joe Gibbs said Monday in the Championship 4 press conference.
“We’ve got the parts out and looked at everything. I think issues with the motors are always concerning. You never want that to happen. But I think we kind of have understood where we are and what those parts were, and have made adjustments, for sure.”
“Those parts will not be in the cars for this weekend. So, we feel good about that.”
