Last week, Blasphemous messages surfaced in the lawsuit against NASCAR by 23XI Racing / Front Row Motorsports. In the messages, the then NASCAR President Steve Phelps called NASCAR team owner Richard Childress a ‘redneck’ among other comments.

The messages were revealed in court documents.

NASCAR President calls Richard Childress a redneck in latest court filings

Jeremy Mayfield is a former driver and car owner in the NASCAR Cup Series. He made his debut in 1993 and became a five-time winner before he was abruptly suspended during the 2009 season.

And to get into a highly summarized story, he was removed from the sport after failing a drug test, according to NASCAR.

However, Mayfield always maintained his innocence and went to court in hopes of proving so. An FBI raid on his house followed during the disagreement with NASCAR.

With the text messages now in light for the fans to see, Mayfield feels vindicated…

“These leaked messages are just confirming what some of us lived firsthand,” Jeremy Mayfield opened in a social media post.

“- Challenge them and you’re the enemy.”

“- Question them and you get crushed.”

“- Build something without them and you’re a target.”

“- Stop serving their agenda and suddenly you’re just another ‘stupid redneck.’ “

“This is who they are and who they’ve always been behind closed doors.”

“People call it shocking. It’s not.”

“And now their own words are doing what they tried to do to everyone else, BURYING them.”

“Suddenly all these ‘stupid rednecks’ can read just fine.”

“I get why people say I should feel vindicated. …And I do.”

“It proves what I tried telling people for years. You don’t have to mess up to get targeted. Sometimes just not fitting their mold is all it takes. I wasn’t the vanilla driver they like showing off. I came in rough. Hard-nosed and I made my share of mistakes. I spoke up, and I wasn’t the easiest person to get along with at times. I was Real . But that’s because racing was my whole life. It’s everything I ever had, or wanted.”

” ‘Why would they do that to you Jeremy?’ “

“Now you’re seeing why. Their words say it all.”
