Every World Rallycross Championship race will be streamed live online, for free, throughout the 2025 season.
The FIA is taking over the promotion of World RX this year, and after three years of coverage being behind a paywall on Rally.tv, action will be completely free for fans to view on the official World RX YouTube channel – beginning with this weekend’s season-opener at Lousada, Portugal.
Andrew Coley will return to the commentary box to call all the races.
“Rallycross is one of the most action-packed forms of motorsport, but that only matters when people can watch it!” said FIA road sport director, Emilia Abel.
“We’re at the start of a new journey to grow this category, and I’m very happy that we will be streaming all of our races live and for free – we feel it is essential for the long-term success of the championship.”
FIA chief commercial officer, Craig Edmondson, added: “There’s not a one-size fits all solution when it comes to broadcast strategy, and from the very beginning our target with the FIA World and European Rallycross Championships has been to prioritise growth, and maximize the potential reach for our fans, organizers, teams and partners.
“We’re making sure that we target key territories for our events, whilst ensuring that we don’t put any barriers up for the fans to watch the action.”
The on-track action will once again comprise a ‘battle of technologies’ between internal combustion and electric powered cars.
Among the entrants are seven-time World RX champion Johan Kristoffersson, 2019 champion Timmy Hansen, his brother Kevin, Niclas Grönholm, former WRC2 driver Ole Christian Veiby and upcoming talent Patrick O’Donovan.
