► Seven Nurburgring Edition celebrates track’s 100th birthday
► Limited edition features bespoke Bilstein suspension
► Prices start at £48,995, with only 100 units to be produced
Caterham has revealed a limited edition Seven to celebrate 100 years of the Nurburgring racing circuit. The appropriately-named Seven Nurburgring Edition features bespoke elements designed and engineered to be suitable on the most demanding track in the world – the ‘Green Hell.’
Each car will be based on either a 420R or a 340R, depending on the market. UK cars will be powered by a 2.0 litre Ford Duratec engine producing 210bhp with a five-speed gearbox. 0-60mph time is expected to be 3.8 seconds thanks to a 375bhp/tonne weight ratio.
Bilstein was tasked with developing a bespoke racing suspension at its test facility. While details remain sparse, customers can still anticipate the usual savage track capability and thrilling road driving experience, continuing Caterham’s tradition of super-lightweight sports cars.

As expected with a celebration special, Nurburgring branding appears in and around the car, featuring red stitching on the leather seats and transmission tunnel. On the exterior, there’s a distinctive red track day roll bar, a nosecone with aero whiskers – as found on a 620 – and a dual-coloured mesh grille.
There’s also a choice of three paint colours. Verkehrsrot (Traffic Red), Achatgrau (Agate Grey) or Basaltgrau (Basalt Grey) complement the Gunmetal Grey chassis and carbon wings. There’s also the option to specify a custom paint colour. The Black Pack completes the look with a black windscreen, headlamp bowls and exhaust heat shield.
‘We set out to capture the spirit of the ‘Ring, with every element of the car being honed to reflect the track’s unique demands and character.’ Says Trevor Steel, senior vice president of operations at Caterham Cars.

Despite no news of the Seven Nurburgring Edition actually undergoing testing at the famed Nurburg-based racing circuit, Caterham unveiled the car to coincide with the 2026 ADAC 24 hours of Nurburgring.
Just 100 units will each contain a unique numbered plaque, and prices start at £48,995 in the UK.
