Bugatti has officially opened its first dedicated showroom in mainland China, marking a major milestone in the French marque’s century-long journey of blending art and engineering excellence. The new flagship space, located in the heart of Shanghai, reinforces Bugatti’s growing presence in one of the world’s most dynamic luxury markets.

For more than a hundred years, Bugatti has captivated collectors and connoisseurs with creations that push the boundaries of automotive innovation and design. The opening of Bugatti Shanghai underscores the brand’s commitment to China — a nation long admired for its appreciation of craftsmanship, heritage, and technological advancement.

Developed in partnership with Kingsway Apex, Bugatti’s trusted representative in mainland China and Hong Kong, the Shanghai showroom embodies the marque’s meticulous design philosophy. More than just a retail environment, the new space serves as an immersive destination where clients can explore Bugatti’s legacy and experience the brand’s forward-looking innovation first-hand.

The grand opening event brought together an exclusive group of customers and media guests for an evening that celebrated both Bugatti’s heritage and its future. The highlight of the night was the first public appearance of the Bugatti Divo in China — one of only 40 ever built. The Divo’s showcase follows the Chinese debut of the Bugatti Tourbillon earlier this year, further cementing the brand’s growing connection to the region.

During its stay in China, the Divo also made a symbolic appearance in Shanghai’s Lingang Special Area, a hub of technological innovation, marking another memorable moment in Bugatti’s expanding story in Asia.

The Shanghai opening was attended by Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac; Hendrik Malinowski, Managing Director at Bugatti; and Kostas Psarris, Regional Director for the Middle East and Asia — underscoring the event’s global importance.

“With the unveiling of the Tourbillon in China earlier this year, we have witnessed an incredible passion for Bugatti hypercars since the Veyron, which celebrates its 20th anniversary,” said Hendrik Malinowski. “Shanghai – a city where tradition and innovation converge – is the ideal location for our first brand showroom in mainland China. This new space has been designed as a destination where clients can experience the unparalleled world of Bugatti.”

In addition to its automotive masterpieces, the Shanghai showroom also features elements from the Bugatti Home collection, created in collaboration with Luxury Living Group. The space is adorned with pieces such as the TYPE_3 sofa and ottoman in Voltaic Blue, the TYPE_14 rug, and the TYPE_11 side table — each echoing Bugatti’s signature design language of fluid lines, refined craftsmanship, and the iconic “EB” emblem.
