
Billy Murray is a 26-time award winning actor from Evanston, Illinois. Today, the NASCAR Cup Series is racing at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois.
Murray visited the NASCAR Cup Series drivers’ meeting. Murray told NBC Sports, “They were praying. But, I didn’t know what day it was. I thought it was just a Saturday prayer.”
Murray added, “How many people didn’t know today was Sunday? I can’t be the only person. It happens.”
The Illinois native was on hand to get the show going as the Grand Marshall. He delivered an epic ‘Start your engines’ speech ahead of the green flag.
Bubba Wallace, driver of the No. 23 car stated via X, “A lot of yall love Noah Gragson, but homeboy had no idea who Bill F&$$k’n Murray was as he shook his hand… unacceptable.”

“You came down here to watch these vehicles go. Are you ready!?”
“Drivers, start your engines!”
