Audi has unveiled the latest generation of its A6 Allroad – the off-road-focused estate variant that’s long been considered one of the coolest Audi trim names on the planet. And, despite its niche sales numbers, Audi will sell it in the UK.

Naturally, this Allroad uses the new A6 Avant as a base and trims the bodywork in some extra cladding all around the lower valances for a toughened exterior look. The design also includes some tasty alloy wheel designs similar to those seen on the Avus concept from the 90s.

The bigger news, though, is that this uses a much wider body with an 11cm increase over a standard A6. The A6 Allroad is 5016mm long, 1986 wide and between 1479 and 1508mm tall depending on ride height. Interestingly, this widened bodywork could also be applied to an upcoming RS6 Avant due before the end of 2026. The trailing vent in the Allroad’s front wheelarch is much like that seen on the smaller RS5 with its own widened track, so it would make sense that Audi Sport may use the same dimensions.

Not a great deal is different inside compared to a regular A6, albeit with some bespoke off-road graphics and controls accessed via the central infotainment screen. The rear seats split 40:20:40, but the boot space isn’t actually that large given this is a big estate car; Audi says there is at least 466 litres available for the diesel or a minimum of 404 litres for the e-Hybrid.

Yes, that means the A6 Allroad comes with two powertrains and both are confirmed for the UK market. A mild hybrid 3.0-litre V6 diesel starts the range off, developing 295bhp and 428lb ft – good for a 5.4sec 0-62mph time and a limited top speed of 155mph.

The e-Hybrid uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, e-motor and battery pack for a combined 362bhp and 369lb ft, enabling a 5.5sec 0-62mph time and a top speed of 155mph. The 25.9kWh battery pack claims up to 59 miles of e-range.

Naturally, because this is an Allroad, regardless of engine choice you benefit from quattro all-wheel drive and standard air suspension. All-wheel steering is optional for the diesel and standard for the e-Hybrid, too. You can also add a tow bar, with the e-Hybrid cleared for a 2000kg braked trailer weight and the diesel allowing 2500kg.

Prices in the UK start from £70,495 for the diesel and £72,920 for the e-Hybrid model, with first deliveries arriving later in 2026.
