Test Riders Savadori and Fernandez will be back in the spotlight at the Spanish GP ahead of Monday's Official Test
World Championship leaders Aprilia Racing and Japanese giants Yamaha Factory Racing will have wildcard appearances at this weekend's Estrella Galicia 0,0 Grand Prix of Spain, with Test Riders Lorenzo Savadori and Augusto Fernandez lining up on the grid in Jerez.
Aprilia's Savadori and Yamaha's Fernandez will be undertaking crucial work across the weekend for the upcoming Grands Prix this year. Aprilia will be aiming to stay one step ahead of the competition, and Yamaha will go searching for improvements in their new V4-powered era. This is all before Monday sees the first in-season Official Test of 2026 take place at the Andalusian circuit, where the full-time riders will continue to grind out the laps in search of gains.
The Italian and Spanish duo competed in last year's Spanish GP, finishing in P18 and P16 respectively, while both riders are getting ready to join their teammates - and rivals - on track in race mode for the first time in 2026.
