F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali and FIA Single-Seater Director Nikolas Tombazis chaired a meeting of the Formula 1 Commission in London on Tuesday, in which various topics were discussed.

Held at the FIA’s offices in the English capital, it marked the second meeting of the F1 Commission this year, following an initial gathering during pre-season testing in Bahrain back in February.

Once the talks had concluded, the FIA released a short media statement outlining revisions to the 2027 Technical and Sporting Regulations that have provisionally been agreed upon.

First on the list was confirmation of minor changes to aerodynamic and bodywork components, following the introduction of all-new cars for the 2026 season.

Meanwhile, a proposal to increase the number of pre-season test days in 2027 – from three days to four days – was approved.

Elsewhere, changes to Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) rules, in relation to venues for testing, were agreed – involving limitations on conducting testing at circuits due to hold a race in the subsequent year’s championship.

As always, regulatory changes are subject to formal approval by the FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC).
