Tesla has raised the price of the highest-tier Cybertruck, known as the Cyberbeast, by $15,000 in the United States, bringing the starting price to $114,990. This increase is due to the introduction of the new Luxe Package, which bundles several premium services and features that were previously optional. Included in this package is Tesla’s Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability, a four-year wheel and tire protection plan, and unlimited access to the company’s global Supercharging network.
While the other trims of the Cybertruck remain priced at $62,490 and $72,450, the price hike on the Cyberbeast indicates Tesla’s increasing focus on creating additional revenue streams from its advanced self-driving technology and premium ownership perks. The move follows a similar strategy applied to Tesla’s flagship Model S and Model X vehicles earlier in 2025.
Tesla’s timing is notable, as the company has reported a 51% year-over-year decline in Cybertruck sales during the second quarter of 2025. The stock price of Tesla has also seen a 21% drop year-to-date. However, the announcement of the Luxe Package helped spur a 1.6% increase in Tesla shares earlier in the week, signaling investor optimism in Tesla’s ability to capitalize on high-end customers.
Despite the sales challenges, Tesla remains confident in the adoption of its Full Self-Driving technology and its potential to generate substantial revenue by targeting customers willing to pay premiums for luxury and autonomy features. This pricing adjustment also aligns with Tesla’s broader model refreshes and feature enhancements aimed at attracting and retaining customers in a competitive electric vehicle market.
The Cybertruck, originally announced with a base price of around $40,000, now sees its top trim priced well above the initial expectation. The Luxe Package underscores Tesla’s strategy to offer a comprehensive, premium electric truck experience, aiming to set the Cybertruck apart in an increasingly crowded segment.
Tesla’s $15,000 price increase for the Cyberbeast trim with the new Luxe Package represents a strategic pivot towards monetizing advanced features and enhancing owner benefits amid a competitive and evolving EV market.
