It marks a switch from his familiar #54, which Razgatlioglu has used throughout his WorldSBK career, as the Turkish rider now steps into MotoGP – where Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) already races with #54. The two have joked about the number on social media, with Razgatlioglu teasing that he might have to bargain for the chance to use #54.
Now the reigning WorldSBK Champion will switch to the #7, a number that he has previously used early in his career. The #7 most recently appeared on the grid with Augusto Fernandez, who ran it during several wildcard/test appearances.
The announcement comes just hours after fellow MotoGP rookie, Diogo Moreira, revealed that he will use #11 for the 2026 season. Now the Valencia Test is just around the corner, as Razgatlioglu prepares to ride the Yamaha YZR-M1 in front of the world’s media!
