Fox Factory Vehicles is celebrating Veterans Day by introducing the new Jeep Wrangler Commando. It’s a turn-key off-roader based on the Wrangler Rubicon 392.

Starting outside, the model has a steel front bumper with a grille guard and auxiliary lights. They’re joined by steel high-top fenders and tubular doors, which have both been painted ’41 Green to match the body color.

Rounding out the highlights are a Bimini top, Commando hood decals, and an optional 12,000 lb (5,443 kg) Warn winch that costs an additional $3,395.

Besides the minor styling tweaks, the Wrangler has been equipped with a 3.5-inch (89 mm) JKS lift kit and Fox 3.0 internal bypass shocks with remote reservoirs. They’re joined by a Fox ATS steering stabilizer and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels that are wrapped in 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires.

Moving inside, buyers will find tan leather seats with embroidered Commando badging on the backrests. The model also has a dashboard-mounted accessory rail, a digital rearview mirror, and a spare tire that has been relocated to the cargo area.

Power comes from a familiar 6.4-liter Hemi V8 pumping out 470 hp (350 kW / 477 PS) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system.

However, customers can order an optional Whipple supercharger for $11,495. It increases the output to 705 hp (526 kW / 715 PS) and 655 lb-ft (887 Nm) of torque. While you’re at it, you might as well get the $3,395 Magnaflow exhaust.

How Much Does It Cost?

The good news is that the standard Commando 392 comes in at just $69,995, which feels like a steal compared to some of the higher-end Wrangler variants.

It’s cheaper than the top-spec Rubicon X 4xe with its 375-hp hybrid four-cylinder setup ($70,940), and comes in more than $30,000 below the Hemi-powered 2025 Rubicon 392 that opens at $100,590.

The bad news? Only one example will be available to the general public. Production is capped at 250 units, with 249 reserved exclusively for veterans and active-duty service members, who’ll need to apply and share their personal “story”.

The single remaining Commando 392 will go under the hammer for everyone else.
