  • The car features an all-new body that makes the Revuelto seem a little tame.
  • Lamborghini’s engineers have fettled the 6.5-liter V12 for more power.
  • Production of the Fenomeno will be capped at just 29 units worldwide.

Just ahead of Monterey Car Week’s most exclusive events kicking off this weekend, a striking new Lamborghini has entered the spotlight. Called the Fenomeno, it’s the latest ultra-rare model from the Italian marque and follows a familiar formula: extreme styling, extreme performance, and extremely limited numbers.

Based on the V12-powered Revuelto, this “few-off” creation features a thoroughly reworked design that gives it a distinct identity within the lineup.

From a visual standpoint, we can’t see many complaints being lobbed the Italian brand’s way. It looks just like a Lamborghini should: absolutely crazy. Sure, it’s no Veneno, but it’s not far behind, sharing very little in common with the Revuelto yet still remaining easily identifiable as a Raging Bull.

Sharp Lines and Even Sharper Attitude

At the front, the Fenomeno features a pair of sharp, angular headlights and a vented hood with two oversized air extraction outlet. Lamborghini has also crafted a bespoke bumper for the car, complete with a color-matched stripe running along the splitter.

The Fenomeno sits so impossibly low, and its wheels fit so perfectly into the arches, that it almost looks as though it’s been lowered from the factory, adding to the wild looks.

Every panel along the sides of the car has also been overhauled, and there are now two large air intakes just behind the doors. Around back, Lamborghini has gone all-in with a bespoke carbon fiber engine cover and an entirely new rear end, also finished extensively in carbon fiber. Immediately catching the eye are the Y-shaped LED taillights and quad, central-exiting exhaust pipes.

What About Power?

Given that Fenomeno is based on the Revuelto, it comes as no surprise that it has the same basic V12 hybrid powertrain. However, a few meaningful tweaks have been made to it.

The 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 has been retuned to produce 833 hp, up from the original 814 hp. A larger 7 kWh lithium-ion battery also steps in to provide additional electric assistance. In total, the system now delivers 1,065 hp, a 64-hp bump over the Revuelto’s 1,001 hp. The upgraded battery slightly improves electric-only range as well, pushing it to 12 miles (20 km).

Performance figures reflect the added power. Lamborghini says the car needs just 2.4 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h), 0.1 seconds quicker than the Revuelto, while continuing through to the same 217 mph (350 km/h) top speed.

Exclusive by Design

Inside, the Fenomeno doesn’t stray far from its donor car. The interior carries over the same steering wheel, floating center display, digital dashboard, and passenger-side screen from the Revuelto. While there are no major cabin changes, buyers of a car like this aren’t likely to be chasing novelty in infotainment.

Worldwide production of the Fenomeno will be limited to just 29 units, each reportedly priced from around €3 million ($3.5 million).
