The scale of this event is impressive right out of the gate. Over 60 classic, collector, and performance cars will cross the block, alongside nearly 40 top-tier automobilia lots. With a total estimated value topping £3 million, this debut isn’t holding anything back. There are at least eight standout entries carrying six-figure guide prices, drawing attention from serious collectors and Sunday dreamers alike.
Among the headline acts is a stunning 1968 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage that has been expertly restored by marque specialist Adrian Johnson. Sporting a sleek metallic grey finish over red leather, this DB6 Vantage carries a guide price of £220,000–£240,000 and would be just as at home on a grand tour of the Continent as it would in a private collection.
Topping the charts as the most valuable lot, a 1963 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster will go under the hammer with an estimate of £650,000–£750,000. Only 209 were built with the alloy block and disc brakes, making this example one of the rarest of its type.
Fans of British luxury will drool over the 1957 Bentley S1 Continental Park Ward Drophead Coupé Adaptation, one of fewer than 50 right-hand drive chassis by Park Ward to this design, estimated at £180,000–£220,000. Classic Ferrari enthusiasts will find a 1976 Dino 308 GT4 once owned by Formula One mechanic Kerry Adams, estimated at £48,000–£55,000.
Rarity is the order of the day, with a late 1962 Triumph Italia 2000 GT, number 311 of only 330 made, wearing a guide price of £80,000–£100,000. The 2000 Rolls-Royce Corniche V Convertible, one of fewer than 40 right-hand drives, appears at £60,000–£70,000. TVR lovers can look forward to a 1966 TVR Griffith 200/400, one of roughly 52 UK cars, estimated at £55,000–£65,000.
From the Dering Collection comes a no-reserve group of eight cars, including a 1937 Bentley 4¼ Litre Saloon by Park Ward and a 1938 Austin Seven AAL Open Road Tourer. Unique automobilia is also here, including a Sean Connery Signed 1:18 Aston Martin DB5 Model and Figurine Presentation with an estimate of £3,000–£5,000, and a 60-piece Toolkit for a 40-50HP Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, valued at £4,000–£6,000.
Lots will be on public view from midday on Tuesday 9th September and from 9am on Wednesday 10th, with the auction starting at 11am for automobilia and noon for motorcars. Bidders can get involved in person, online, over the phone or by leaving a commission bid.
