The competition returns this season to reward the most impressive rider on Sundays – by 100% fan vote
Last season, MotoGP introduced the all-new Rider of the Race award, giving fans the chance to vote live during the Grand Prix race on Sunday for who had most impressed them.
The award returns in 2026 with more glory up for grabs as the grid look to depose Marc Marquez as the most-voted for rider so far.
Last year, the #93 took six wins out of the 14 races in which he was eligible for Rider of the Race. Far from a majority, with the others split between other riders, but an impressive run.
Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing), Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP), Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) and Johann Zarco (Castrol Honda LCR) each won twice, with Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) also grabbing the award once in 2025.
Who will come out on top in 2026? As an award designed to reward more than just winning, or track position, it’s everything to play for as we get ready to race in Buriram!
