The Mustang GT might be Ford’s performance offering, but the Blue Oval hasn’t forgotten about the entry-level EcoBoost offering. It launched the RTR Package for the four-cylinder Mustang last October, and now it is introducing a styling package.
It’s called the TLD Signature Edition, and it’s named after Troy Lee Designs, the famous helmet designer, who collaborated on the project with the Ford Design team. The package includes unique red, orange, purple, and yellow side graphics that integrate a running pony badge.
The Mustang, exclusively available in Shadow Black, features 19-inch Satin Bronze wheels, a Satin Bronze pony badge, and Satin Bronze nostrils. The package also includes colorful hood graphics. Inside, the Carmine Red interior features a serialized dashboard badge.
Ford is limiting production to 550 units. The TLD Signature Edition package will cost $3,000. The package is listed as available on the Mustang EcoBoost Premium that starts at $38,340, but it also requires the 201A equipment group for an extra $3,000, putting the car's total price up to $44,340, including the $1,995 destination charge.
The order books are now open for the TLD, the RTR, and the broader Mustang lineup. You can begin ordering the Dark Horse SC in late April.
Motor1’s Take: The TLD Signature Edition package might not be as exciting as the RTR package, but the new pack offers a stylish visual upgrade for not a lot of money. The unique red, orange, purple, and yellow side graphics might be a bit much for some, but they have a nice retro appearance we appreciate.
