In 2015, Ferrari introduced the F12tdf, a limited-edition evolution of the F12berlinetta, drawing inspiration from the 250 GT competition cars that dominated the Tour de France Automobile during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Designed by the Ferrari Styling Center in partnership with Pininfarina, the F12tdf was a lightweight, track-oriented supercar tailored for discerning collectors and gentleman racers. Production was capped at 799 examples built between 2015 and 2017.
Power came from an enhanced 6.3-liter V12 delivering 769 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 520 lb-ft of torque at 6,750 rpm—gains of 39 horsepower and 11 lb-ft over the standard F12. With extensive use of carbon fiber for the hood, decklid, and doors, along with thinner glass and a wider track, the F12tdf was about 243 pounds lighter than the F12berlinetta. The result was an explosive performance: 0–62 mph in 2.9 seconds, a top speed exceeding 211 mph, and a Fiorano lap time two seconds quicker than the standard model.
The example currently listed on Bring a Trailer was originally delivered through Towbin Toy Store of Las Vegas, Nevada, to its first owner, who selected a striking specification. The car is finished in Rosso Corsa with a Nero Stellato racing stripe and Scuderia Ferrari fender shields. The cabin is upholstered in Nero Alcantara, featuring Rosso stitching, accents, and embroidered Cavallino logos on the headrests.
It rides on 20-inch Forged Diamond alloy wheels and features Ferrari’s SCM-E magnetorheological suspension, a front-axle lift system, four-wheel steering, and carbon-ceramic brakes with red calipers. Additional options include carbon-fiber interior and exterior trim, a JBL Professional sound system, Ferrari Telemetry, Scuderia shields, and a sport exhaust system.
