The Porsche Carrera GT is often hailed as the ultimate analog supercar, combining advanced engineering with a raw, purist driving experience. Powered by a naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V-10 producing 613 horsepower and paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, it demands skill from drivers, free of the intrusive electronic aids common today.

Technologically groundbreaking, the Carrera GT was Porsche’s first production model to feature a carbon-fiber monocoque, aerospace-grade suspension components, and massive carbon-ceramic brakes paired with lightweight magnesium wheels. The removable roof panels, active rear wing, and leather-lined interior emphasized both performance and refinement. It is capable of 0–60 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph—remarkable numbers for a 20-year-old, naturally aspirated road car.

This Carrera GT, currently listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, is number 552 of 1,270 examples produced worldwide. It is finished in GT Silver Metallic paint, with matching removable roof panels, and a Terracotta leather interior. Inside, it features racing-style bucket seats with carbon-fiber and Kevlar shells trimmed in Terracotta leather, complemented by a matching dashboard, center console, A-pillars, and door caps.

The cabin combines magnesium, carbon-fiber, and aluminum trim, while amenities include one-touch power windows, air conditioning, heated power side mirrors, and a Porsche Online Pro CD stereo. A laminated beechwood shift knob pays tribute to the lightweight balsa units used in Porsche’s legendary 917 race cars.

The car rides on forged magnesium wheels—19×9.5” front and 20×12.5” rear—wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Suspension consists of inboard pushrod-activated coilover struts, with braking handled by cross-drilled 15” ceramic composite rotors paired with yellow six-piston aluminum calipers at each corner.
