The Maserati MC20 marks a decisive return for the brand, positioning it once again among the world’s elite supercar makers and signaling renewed motorsport ambitions. Serving as the “halo car” of a new era, it also introduced Maserati’s updated trident logo. The MC20 fills the gap left since the MC12 ended production in 2005, featuring a mid-engine layout, carbon fiber monocoque, and upward-opening butterfly doors.
Replacing the MC12’s Ferrari-derived V-12 is Maserati’s in-house 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, the Nettuno, with a Formula One-inspired twin pre-chamber injection system. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, it produces 621 hp and 538 lb-ft, propelling the 3,307-pound car from 0–60 mph in 2.9 seconds and topping out at 202 mph.
In his newest video on YouTube, ex-Stig Ben Collins puts the MC20 to its paces, including a full-throttle run on the Top Gear track, showcasing its performance credentials.
