Two rare Ferrari Berlinettas will go under the hammer at the first ever Zoute Concours Auction in Belgium.
Broad Arrow will host the event during the annual Zoute Grand Prix Car Week from October 8-12 and the two Maranello machines are among the first to be entered in the auction, which will feature some 70 collector cars seeking new owners.
The first Ferrari is a 1967 275 GTB/4 (see top image) in Verde Pino (pine green) with contrasting Arancio leather trim. Borrani wire wheels and Marchal headlights only add to the car’s desirability. One of 330 “four-cam” cars, it has been certified by Ferrari Classiche as a matching numbers vehicle and, says Broad Arrow, it has been “so well looked after that it has never required a full restoration, making it one of the most original examples available.” The GTB’s history is fully-documented in its Red Book, along with original factory books in a leather wallet. Broad Arrow estimates it could fetch €2.7-3.2 million ($3.1-$3.7 M).
It will be followed into the auction by a 1970 365 GTB/4 “Plexi” Daytona, that features Leonardo Fioravanti’s full-width plexiglass headlamp enclosure. It’s one of only two cars to leave the factory with Avorio paintwork, with a Beige Scuro leather and Nero interior, and its first owner was Belgian racer Baron Hughes “Hugh” de Fierlant. Chassis No. 13357 is one of around 400 examples and has been subject to full restoration. Again, it’s a matching numbers car and received its Ferrari Classiche certificate in 2011. No estimate has been announced as yet, but a quick click on the Hagerty Valuation tool suggests it should fetch $1.5 million or more.
“The consignment of both of these rare Ferrari models shows how much interest our inaugural Zoute Concours Auction is already generating among collectors around the world,” says Joe Twyman, VP of Sales for Broad Arrow’s EMEA Region. “We are looking forward to providing more exciting news on additional consignments in the coming weeks.”
That pine green 275 GTB/4 is beautiful. Great combo with that interior.
