Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subracting weight makes you faster everywhere
I recently re-read an article by Paul Frere about the 904 who was full of praise for its nimble character and driveability while displaying a comparatively modest power out of 4, 6 or 8 cylinders.
He concluded 30 years ago that increasing the power, weight and size of the modern supercars wasn't the right way.
How wise!
