Boycie's Jaguar E-Type sells for £115,875
The E-Type Jaguar that featured in episode two of Only Fools and Horses sold at auction for £40,000 more than first predicted.

The white E-Type convertible that featured BBC sitcom episode 'Go West Young Man' had an estimate of between £75,000 and £85,000. However, the bidding climaxed at a staggering £115,875 for the on-screen star at the Silverstone Auctions Salon Privé sale last weekend.

The 1973 car is famed for its role in the second ever episode of the TV hit as the motor car dealer Boycie had bought for his mistress as a birthday present.

But after he lets main characters Del Boy and Rodney Trotter take the car away to keep it in storage away from his wife's prying eyes, the pair are rear-ended in the British motoring icon during the comical final scenes of the fondly-remembered episode.
