The next Mercedes-Benz CLA is around the corner, and the current-generation model is going out with a limited-edition model that will be difficult to miss if you see it on the road. The 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S Final Edition gets several styling updates inside and out, including a large helping of yellow accents.
We hope you like gray, because it’s the only color that the Final Edition model is available in. It’s a matte color that AMG calls Manufaktur Mountain Gray Magno, and it’s complemented by a black and yellow “45 S” graphic on each front door. The list of edition-specific details also includes black exterior trim, yellow accents on the door mirror caps, and a set of 19-inch forged wheels finished in matte black and yellow.
AMG is also including the Night Package Plus, which bundles gloss black and black chrome trim pieces, and the Aerodynamics Package, which includes a fixed rear spoiler. It’s a look you’ll either love or hate.
The interior is just as distinctive. The Final Edition gets front sport seats upholstered in a combination of black MB-Tex and microfiber with yellow stitching, a Performance steering wheel with yellow stitching, and AMG-branded door sill plates with yellow (notice a pattern?) lighting. There’s also a “45 S Final Edition” badge on the center console to let passengers know they’re not riding in a run-of-the-mill CLA.
Mercedes-AMG isn’t making any mechanical changes to send off the CLA 45 S. Power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s turbocharged to 416 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Built by the same technician from start to finish, the power-dense engine spins the four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. AMG quotes a zero-to-60-mph time of four seconds and a 155-mph top speed.
Dealers across the nation will begin receiving the 2026 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S Final Edition in early 2026. Pricing hasn’t been revealed, and availability will be announced closer to the model’s on-sale date. All we know at this stage is that the second-generation CLA’s swan song will be sold “in limited numbers.”
What’s next? The curtains will drop on the current CLA after the 2026 model year; it made its debut at CES 2019, so its time is up. Its successor has already been unveiled. Due out for 2026, the next-gen CLA features styling updates that are largely evolutionary, including sleeker-looking headlights and flush-mounted exterior door handles. It gets a lot more LEDs than its predecessor, and it can be ordered with a lot more screens.
Bigger changes will be found under the body. The next CLA will be the first car built on the new Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA), which was designed to underpin EVs and hybrids, and both drivetrains will ultimately be offered. The new underpinnings will increase the CLA’s wheelbase, length, height, and width.
Shown below, the next CLA should reach showrooms in the first half of 2026.
