Despite achieving a career-best result last time out in Baku, Liam Lawson knows more is needed for him to remain on the F1 grid.
Liam Lawson looks like he's coming into form at just the right time. The New Zealander was in a world of pain after getting dropped by Red Bull after just two races earlier this year, but after a slow start at Racing Bulls, he's found his feet again at the sister team to reignite his chances of staying on the grid beyond the end of this season.
The 23-year-old finished a career-best fifth last time out in Baku, in what was his third points finish in the last five Grands Prix.
While his rookie team mate Isack Hadjar has drawn the headlines, peaking with a superb drive to a first podium in the Netherlands, in terms of points in the last five events the Racing Bulls duo have brought in the same number of points apiece – 18.
