The Ferrari 296 GTB marks a bold new chapter in the brand’s legacy, blending state-of-the-art turbo-hybrid innovation with classic Ferrari design DNA. Developed at Maranello by a dedicated team of engineers and designers, the 296 GTB showcases the collaborative brilliance of Chief Design Officer Flavio Manzoni and Chief Technology Officer Michael Leiters.

Their combined vision produced a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive supercar that unites sustainability and staggering performance in one breathtaking package. At its core, the 296 GTB houses an all-new plug-in hybrid system built around a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 and a powerful electric motor.

Together, they produce 819 horsepower, launching the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and pushing it beyond 205 mph. Lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber construction enhance its agility, while advanced aerodynamics, adaptive suspension, and cutting-edge driver aids deliver both precision and control.

In a recent video published by AutoTopNL on YouTube, a 296 GTB managed to achieve an incredible 352 km/h (218.72 mph) on Germany’s Autobahn—far exceeding Ferrari’s official speed claim. The Autobahn, with its unrestricted speed zones, remains one of the few places in the world where such feats can be achieved legally—making it a proving ground for high-performance machines like Ferrari’s mid-engine hybrid supercar.
