The Swiss rider was involved in a pre-race incident on the sighting lap with reigning Moto3™ Champion Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) that saw both riders taken to hospital via medical helicopter. Rueda was confirmed as alert and awake later on Sunday, with a fracture in his hand and a number of contusions. Since, he transferred hospital and has now returned home to Spain, too.
