The slowest depreciating SUV available in the UK has been unveiled, with one of the most expensive vehicles on the market topping the list. According to WhatCar?, the stunning Lamborghini Urus retains its value better than any other SUV on the road.

The model is still worth around 70% of its original price after 36,000 miles or three years on the road. WhatCar? says the Urus is typically listed at almost £200,000, with a valuation of £197,054. However, three years later the model can still be sold second-hand for around £137,525.

A brief look at AutoTrader shows Urus models available for around £140,000 second-hand, with some models priced a bit higher at over £160,000. The model loses just over 30% of its valuation, but experts warn road users will still lose thousands of pounds over 36 months.

To be precise, based on their predictions WhatCar? predicts that the Urus will drop by at least £59,529 over the short window, enough money to buy a whole Range Rover.

WhatCar? explained: “Although its hangs on to the best percentage of its original value, it's worth bearing in mind that because you're paying so much in the first place, the hit in depreciation still equates to a lot of money - you could buy a high-end Range Rover Evoque with the value the Urus will lose over three years, for example.”

The Urus is one of the most luxurious vehicles on the market, equipped with a range of premium features while still offering bucketloads of performance.

The Urus is fitted with a remarkable V8 engine, offering 657bhp capable of 0-62mph in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 190mph. Acceleration is even quicker in the higher-end Performante version with models reaching 0-62mph in 3.3seconds.

Boasting supercar-esque performance, the Urus also takes its responsibilities as a large SV seriously. The model is the first Lamborghini designed for all road surfaces, with the model equipped with an advanced all-wheel-drive system. An optional off-road package is also available offering small extras such as unique bumpers for extra clearance.

WhatCar? added: “Inside you'll find lots of premium materials, an infotainment system that's fairly easy to get along with, and good space for your family and their luggage.

“Given all that, plus the appeal of the Lamborghini badge, it's no surprise that the Urus extremely desirable, which is why it retains more of its value over three years than any other SUV on sale today.”

Lamborghini told Express.co.uk: "Strong residual values are testament to our brand’s consistent appeal, not only at the time of a model’s first launch but as in the case of the Urus, throughout its lifetime as a highly-desirable pre-owned car.

"The Lamborghini Urus has maintained steady residual values since its debut, with the latest Urus SE hybridized version arriving in the UK this year and following the best-in-class trend.”
