The engine produced more than 500 horsepower and was packed with all kinds of exotic materials like titanium and magnesium. It was also co-developed with help from Yamaha, which sent its music team out to assist with the exhaust system to ensure that the car sounded as awesome as possible.
The team best known for high-end saxophones did good, and the “roar of an Angel” that Toyota says comes from the LFA’s rear end is one of the greatest engine notes out there. The film, which was brought to our attention by the folks at Motor1, was shared by Toyota Times and is packed with every kind of pop, bang and rumble that the LFA kicks out while being driven in anger.
