The Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 is a limited-production supercar built around three core principles: extreme lightness, a central driving position, and a high-revving naturally aspirated V12. It is widely regarded as the ultimate analogue supercar, thanks to its manual transmission and uncompromising focus on driver engagement. Its most distinctive feature is a rear-mounted fan—an idea lifted from the 1970s Brabham BT46B F1 car—that delivers unique aerodynamic performance.
Power comes from a 3.9-liter Cosworth V12 that produces 654 horsepower and spins all the way to 12,100 rpm, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Inside, the car uses a three-seat layout with the driver placed at the center. The 400mm rear fan enhances downforce and stability, while the hand-laid carbon-fiber monocoque and lightweight construction keep the car to just 2,174 pounds.
RM Sotheby’s will auction a Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 on December 5, making it the first example to be offered publicly. With only 100 units built, this example—number 35—is estimated to exceed $5 million and features a unique specification.
Its exterior is finished in Harrier paint with Gloss Carbon accents, Dark Grey wheels, and black brake calipers. Unlike most manufacturers, Gordon Murray Automotive included all customizations—like a glass roof, Heritage Orange badging, and a special Touring gear ratio—at no extra cost, ensuring no two T.50s are identical.
The interior continues this bespoke theme. It combines Charcoal Alcantara, aluminium switchgear, and vibrant Matrix Orange details, including the driver’s seat, which contrasts with the black and charcoal passenger seats. Delivered new to Denmark in 2025, the car has only 217 kilometres on the odometer. It comes with a matching four-piece luggage set, a tool chest, and a diagnostics tablet.
