Pirro to sub for Marc Marquez in Phillip Island

Ducati confirm the long-time test rider will take the reins Down Under

After news earlier in the week that Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) will be sidelined from the Australian and Malaysian GPs, Ducati have confirmed his replacement for Phillip Island: Michele Pirro.

Pirro is the longstanding Ducati test rider and has plenty of his own race experience, even set to make his 70th MotoGP start in Australia. With only that event confirmed though, stay tuned to see if it’s Pirro again for Sepang or a different face subbing in for the #93.
