The Camaro is going away from a production standpoint. However, the car will remain in NASCAR for the 2026 season.
The Camaro ZL1 racecar will come with upgrades for 2026. It mirrors Chevrolet’s recently released Camaro ZL1 Carbon Performance Package accessories kit.

Per Chevrolet, the noted changes are a, “larger hood power dome, a revised front grille, and more pronounced rocker panels along the sides of the car.”
The car was on track for the tire test at Bristol Motor Speedway on Wednesday and Thursday.
“I think we’ve been giving up a little bit to the Toyotas and Fords. They had a shot at the apple and made their cars better,” Rick Hendrick stated earlier this week.

Production of the Chevy Camaro came to an end in 2024.
In the future, an all new Chevy Camaro could still make a return on the production side. For now, Chevy is updating their retired ZL1 to the latest kit.
Chevy stated, “While we do not comment on future products, we can assure you we are working on what’s next for Chevrolet in NASCAR. Again, our commitment to competing in NASCAR remains steadfast.”
The new updated car will make it’s debut in February at the Cook Out Clash via Bowman Gray Stadium.
