The 2026 NASCAR season is set to begin. Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina is set to host The Clash on February 1, 2026.

The race will see the debut of NASCAR’s new rules package for short tracks. Horsepower has been increased to 750.

However, there’s also a massive snow storm currently hovering overhead at the track. Fans in the area have reported that major roads leading into the track still have not had snow removed.

The track itself was covered in snow as of Monday. Today, officials have begun removing snow from the 1/4-mile oval.

However, more snow could fall leading up to the race weekend. NASCAR is monitoring the situation…

“The track team has made progress on clearing the track,” Ben Kennedy of NASCAR stated.

“We’re monitoring one more snow storm arriving Friday evening / Saturday. Our goal is to host the Clash at Bowman Gray but we’ll communicate schedule changes as we learn more.”

“Snow has been cleared from the track and garage areas at Bowman Gray. Hoping for a warm(er) day or two in Winston-Salem to accelerate clean up. We’re continuing to monitor more weather this weekend and will communicate schedule changes, if any.”
