Wheeler Dealers star Mike Brewer has shared a new update years after a classic Ford Fiesta was stolen during filming. In the summer of 2023, thieves stole the iconic 1979 Ford Fiesta Mk1 from under the producers' noses just hours after restoration work had been completed.
Mike and co-host Marc Priestley had planned to show off their repairs at a car show when producers realised the vehicle and its trailer had been snatched. Mike and Marc were stunned when they found out the model had been taken from a hotel car park in Knottingley, West Yorkshire.

Fans have spent years speculating on the vehicle’s whereabouts, but the model has never turned up. Earlier in January, X user @zwollenaar1987 asked the TV host: “Mr Brewer has that stolen Ford Fiesta from Wheeler Dealers ever been found and recovered again?”
However, Mike quickly responded that there was still no update, adding: “If it had, I think you’d know about it.” Mike and Marc had previously claimed they spent around 100 hours working on the model to fully restore the Mk1.
The model was selected as a special tribute to the Fiesta once Ford announced the model would be discontinued. The rebuild stood out due to the rarity of the Mk1 model, with estimates suggesting that only a few hundred remain on the road.
Last summer, Mike revealed the stolen Ford was still being mentioned by fans despite going missing well over 24 months ago. He stressed the trail to find the car was “dead” and predicted the classic vehicle would likely “never” be discovered.
He previously told Express.co.uk: “The trail is dead. It was dead over maybe two years ago now. The Fiesta’s never coming back. I wish people would stop mentioning it.
“The only reason they keep mentioning it is because the lovely Discovery channel keeps showing it. They repeat the show over and over again and every time it gets repeated somebody is watching it for the first time and for them it's new news.
"They contact me and go ‘oh it’s a shame you had the Fiesta nicked, have you found it yet?’ I keep saying to people ‘no, it’s gone’. If it was found, I’d shout it from the rooftops but I don’t want it back now it’s too late.”
