With the Las Vegas Grand Prix just days away, McLaren Automotive has pulled the covers off Project Viva, a one-of-one McLaren 750S created by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The bespoke supercar serves as both a tribute to Las Vegas and a showcase of MSO’s most intricate, story-driven craftsmanship.
Inspired by the spectacle, architecture and kinetic energy of Las Vegas, Project Viva reimagines the city through a striking monochrome “Sketch in Motion” livery. Rather than leaning into the familiar neon palette, MSO opted for a more conceptual approach: hand-painted linework that captures the rhythm of the Strip, iconic signage, skyline elements, and the city’s deep ties to music and performance.
This artistic direction highlights McLaren’s philosophy of challenging convention—translating emotion and place into design through nuance rather than overt color.
The special edition features Muriwai White accents—referencing McLaren’s heritage—as well as an all-new bespoke MSO color, Vegas Nights, developed specifically for Project Viva. The deep black finish is laced with microscopic flecks of cyan, magenta and green, creating a subtle neon shimmer reminiscent of Las Vegas after dark.
Every sketch and contour on the exterior was applied by hand, forming a narrative that blends the city’s vibrant character with MSO’s longstanding racing and design heritage.
Adding an exclusive personal touch, McLaren Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri contributed hand-drawn elements to the car’s exterior. Their details include signature linework and a new tenth Constructors’ Championship star on the rear bumper—celebrating McLaren Racing’s most recent milestone.
“Project Viva captures what McLaren Special Operations is all about—pushing beyond convention to create something truly personal,” said Jonathan Simms, Director of McLaren Special Operations. “It’s where craft meets character, and where any inspiration can become a story told through design.”
Simms emphasized that Project Viva reflects MSO’s ability to turn any client vision—no matter how abstract—into meaningful, functional automotive art.
The McLaren 750S Project Viva will be displayed at the McLaren Experience Center at the Wynn Las Vegas from 13–20 November, giving fans and clients a close look at one of MSO’s most expressive one-off commissions to date.
As the city prepares for one of Formula 1’s most spectacular weekends, Project Viva stands as a bold fusion of performance, artistry and storytelling—perfectly aligned with the drama and ambition of Las Vegas itself.
