The Casselberry Police Department in Florida has added a striking new member to its fleet, a McLaren 720S supercar donated by local dealership McLaren Orlando. This high-performance vehicle, boasting 740 horsepower and capable of reaching speeds up to 206 mph, will serve as a dynamic tool for community engagement rather than traditional law enforcement duties.
Equipped with official police livery, including a large crest on the hood and sides as well as black and blue accents, the McLaren also features flashing lights behind the windshield. Despite its cop car appearance, the department clarified that the exotic vehicle will not be involved in high-speed pursuits or patrol operations.
Instead, the McLaren 720S will participate in community outreach events and public safety education initiatives, designed to promote safe driving habits and foster positive relationships between the police and local residents. The department emphasized that no taxpayer or city funds were used to acquire the vehicle.
