Mark Martin is also a former NASCAR Cup Series driver as well as a pilot. He retired from the sport following the 2013 season with 40 career race wins.

Like many NASCAR drivers, Martin also pilots a Citation aircraft and he’s disturbed by the crash…

On Monday, Mark Martin took to social media to share views on the crash:

“As a Citation pilot for 20 years and a product of around 75 days of @FlightSafetyInt training and over 3000 hours of flight time in the aircraft I have deep knowledge of these aircraft and performance,” Martin opened via social media.

“The more I learn about Biffle’s crash the more disturbing it is to me.”

Martin added, Every day I get sicker and sicker about this tragedy.”

Early details have been released regarding the plane crash in Statesville, North Carolina
