  • Jeep will offer SRT versions of the Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer.
  • The company will also launch a two-door Scrambler SRT pickup.
  • Brand-new Recon EV will reportedly be joined by ICE-powered version.

After years of mismanagement, Jeep is on the rebound. There has been a lot of developments lately as the brand recently introduced the facelifted Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer as well as the redesigned Cherokee and all-new Recon.

More models are on the horizon as Stellantis used their investor’s day event to confirm plans for an assortment of SRT variants. This includes high-performance versions of the Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer.

They’ll arrive by 2030 and we can expect them to feature an aggressive front fascia and a street-focused suspension. A supercharged 6.2-liter V8 is practically a given and it should churn out approximately 777 hp (579 kW / 788 PS) and 680 lb-ft (921 Nm) of torque.

The company is also reviving the Scrambler moniker on an all-new pickup. According to The Drive, the Wrangler Scrambler SRT is a two-door version of the Gladiator.

While that sounds like the classic CJ-8 Scrambler, it’s not a traditional regular cab pickup. Instead, it will reportedly have two-rows of seats and longer doors to aid entry and egress. Interestingly, the second-row will reportedly be able to rotate 180 degrees to face rearward, like the front seats on many RVs.

It also sounds like the truck will have a three-piece removable hardtop and a unique front end. It could also be powered by the Wrangler 392’s 6.4-liter Hemi V8, which pumps out 470 hp (350 kW / 477 PS) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque.

Stellantis unfortunately ended the presentation livestream and won’t have a replay available until tomorrow, but Car & Driver says the company confirmed plans to introduce the redesigned Compass in North America as well as another update for the Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer.

Some of the biggest news is that the Recon is getting gassy. The fully electric model will reportedly be joined by an ICE variant and it will likely be powered by the Hurricane inline-six that resides in the Dodge Charger. It offers outputs of 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 550 hp (410 kW / 558 PS).
