  • Jaguar has built the last F-Pace at their Solihull plant.
  • The black SVR was their final ICE-powered vehicle.
  • Company will introduce a new electric GT next year.

It’s the end of an era as Jaguar has quietly built the last F-Pace at their Solihull factory. This is notable for two big reasons as it means all production has now come to an end and the company has built its last ICE-powered vehicle.

While those are two huge milestones, you’d be hard pressed to tell as Jaguar couldn’t be bothered to cobble together a press release or even a social media post. That’s incredibly disrespectful of their heritage and the significance of the moment, especially since production wrapped up on December 19.

Since Jaguar continues to be an aimless mess, the task of relaying the story fell to the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club, which was on hand for the sendoff. They’re reporting the final car was a black F-Pace SVR, and the color was chosen as a tribute to the final E-Type, which “marked the end of another great Jaguar era.”

It’s also worth noting black is associated with funerals, which is what Jaguar will likely be having if their controversial revamp fails to work.

Possible foreshadowing aside, the final crossover was reportedly handed over to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. It will join their collection, which includes numerous prototypes and concepts as well as race cars and road-going models.

What Happens Next?

With Jaguar now producing nothing, attention turns to the company’s new electric GT. Previewed by the Type 00 concept, the production model was originally supposed to debut late this year.

However, the car was delayed until 2026. The exact timing remains to be seen, but Managing Director Rawdon Glover has previously said they’ll begin accepting orders shortly after the debut and deliveries will start “relatively soon after that.”

The six-figure car will ride on the new Jaguar Electrical Architecture and have a range of up to 430 miles (692 km). Owners can also expect to get 200 miles (322 km) of range in as little as 15 minutes with a DC fast charger.

Details on the powertrain remain limited, but previous reports suggest a rear-biased tri-motor setup producing close to 1,000 horsepower. If accurate, that would make it the most powerful road car in Jaguar history, and quite a way to start a new chapter, if the brand can stick the landing.
