Leading car experts have revealed the one car brand to buy right now, with a leading Japanese brand coming out on top. Specialists have claimed motorists would be “absolutely crazy” not to go ahead and secure a Toyota as their next model.
TikTok user @carsrme2, a channel boasting thousands of followers for his car tips, said that Toyota models had a reputation for being “reliable” and holding their value. The expert even highlighted the best Toyota to pick up in the new year, with a particular crossover SUV his number one option.
Speaking on TikTok, @carsrme2 said: “If you're not buying a Toyota for your next new car, then you are absolutely crazy. This is a 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross, this is one of the best crossover SUVs you can get for the money up and down.
"First off it is one of the best compact SUVs you can get on the market today. The best part about being a Toyota is you know they are going to be dead reliable. They are going to hold their money extremely well so they are not going to depreciate, so you buy it new and you’re not going to lose a lot of money.”
Toyota has fitted the Corolla Cross models with a range of luxury features such as leather seats, a sunroof and advanced technology for an affordable price tag of around £26,000.
It's not the only Toyota to wow motoring experts, with the RAV4 also picking up praise among another top expert. Leading car mechanic Scotty Kilmer described the 2014 RAV4 as the “best used vehicle to buy” on the road today.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Scotty explained: “Realise that a ten-year-old Toyota with 160,000 miles that has been taken care of, even minimally, can still be a great car.”
Scotty even admitted that he was “buying” a RAV4 himself after being so impressed with the model. According to research by Warranty Solutions Group, Toyota is the most reliable car brand in the UK.
The vehicle has the lowest insurance claim rate, with just 7.02% of owners making a report against their policy. Analysis shows that Toyota also comes with one of the lowest average repair costs among the biggest brands. Scotty previously admitted that Toyota was one of the most reliable options for motorists.
He said: “As a mechanic, I’ve worked on tons of different cars over the last five decades, and I can personally attest to Toyota’s quality myself. The reliability of a Toyota is largely to do with it’s low number of mechanical issues.”
