The Korean manufacturer has previously explored the idea of adding an extra entry to its existing three-car line-up at selected events. The topic was under discussion last year as the team evaluated its 2025 driver options.Rival outfit Toyota has already expanded its line-up this season, fielding four full-time entries for Kalle Rovanperä, Elfyn Evans, Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari, while also running a fifth GR Yaris Rally1 at selected rounds for eight-time world champion Sébastien Ogier. Pajari is not contributing to Toyota’s manufacturer points, but part-time driver Ogier has been registered to score in his three appearances so far — helping the team build a 55-point lead in the manufacturers’ standings.Speaking at Vodafone Rally de Portugal, Hyundai Motorsport president and team principal Cyril Abiteboul said the idea of running a fourth car in 2025 remains under consideration. However, he stressed that the decision will hinge on several internal factors.
