A hero has been lost.
After Hurricane Helene in 2024, Biffle flew by helicopter, in and out of weather torn areas. He delivered life-saving aid across the region. He rescued people that were stranded with no way out.
“He had his own helicopter and he was doing extractions on his own,” said United Cajun Navy VP Brian Trascher, told Fox Carolina. “I’m like, ‘Here’s this guy, like a race car driver. He’s got a helicopter. This guy’s like Batman.’”
The day after the plane crash, the President was in North Carolina. He delivered remarks on the passing of Biffle and his family.
“I also want to express my condolences to the people of this state,” Trump said from the stage.
“And to the loved ones of Greg Biffle, who perished yesterday in a tragic plane crash with his family in Statesville.”
“I met him twice. He was just a great young man and, what a tragedy that is with his whole family.”
“So, I just want to pay our condolences, our love. I’ll tell you, North Carolina, will never forget them. He and his family were incredible people.”
