Americans have largely turned their back on the redesigned Charger as Dodge only sold 1,672 ICE-powered models in the first quarter of 2026. To put that into perspective, the brand moved 33,499 Chargers and Challengers in the first quarter of 2023.
That’s a staggering decline, but the lineup is slowly growing and SRT variants are on the horizon. The automaker is also looking to get a boost from European sales, which will begin relatively soon.

Stellantis isn’t saying much at this point, but confirmed the Charger is returning to Europe as “one of the purest expressions of American automotive culture.” They went on to say the Euro-spec model will embrace a “multi‑energy approach” and be offered in Sixpack as well as Daytona configurations.
More details will be released soon, but the Charger R/T has a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six developing 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 468 lb-ft (634 Nm) of torque. It enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.6 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds.
The mid-level Scat Pack has an upgraded engine developing 550 hp (410 kW / 558 PS) and 531 lb-ft (719 Nm). This lowers the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time to 3.9 seconds, while the quarter-mile drops to 12.2 seconds.
Lastly, there’s the Charger Daytona Scat Pack. It has a 100.5 kWh battery and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing 670 hp (500 kW / 679 PS) and 627 lb-ft (849 Nm) of torque. 60 mph (96 km/h) comes in 3.3 seconds, while the quarter-mile blows past in 11.5 seconds. However, you’ll have to endure a relatively short EPA range of 267 miles (430 km)
Dodge recently introduced the 2027 Charger lineup, which benefits from 25 new customization options and a NACS port on the EV. Highlights include Petrol Blue leather sport seats, Demonic Red seat belts, and an assortment of exterior stripes.
Dodge Europe boss Fabio Catone said, “Bringing Charger back to Europe is a significant moment for the brand. It means reintroducing an unmistakable American nameplate to customers that values character and authenticity.”
