The 2026 season is scheduled to begin this weekend at Bowman Gray Stadium. Today, a winter storm alert was issued for the area.

Winter storm watch in effect for Bowman Gray Stadium

Moments ago, NASCAR has adjusted the schedule in anticipation of the weather. Saturday’s action has been postponed.

NASCAR stated, “events on Saturday, Jan. 31, including NASCAR Cup Series practice, qualifying, and heat races, have been postponed out of an abundance of caution due to expected winter weather.”

NASCAR Weekly Series’ Modified and Sportsman divisions have been postponed. A future date has yet to be announced.

The Clash Fan Fest was scheduled to take place across the street from Bowman Gray Stadium. That has been canceled entirely.

NASCAR Cup Series drivers are still scheduled to run the Cook Out Clash. The entirety of the event has now been moved to Sunday, Feb. 1.
