BMW has pulled the covers off the all-new iX3, the first production model of its Neue Klasse generation and the longest-range battery electric vehicle (BEV) available in the UK at launch. Priced from £58,755 OTR, the BMW iX3 50 xDrive promises up to 500 miles (WLTP) on a single charge, courtesy of sixth-generation eDrive technology featuring an 800-volt architecture and rapid 400 kW charging—enabling up to 231 miles in just ten minutes.

The iX3 is all about intelligent driving and efficiency, sporting BMW’s latest digital “superbrain” architecture, a Heart of Joy driving dynamics system, and an innovative Panoramic iDrive screen stretching across the full windscreen. You get all-wheel drive traction and two powerful electric motors, with a high-efficiency rear EESM and compact front ASM for optimal balance and handling. The roomy cabin is finished with sustainable Econeer seat materials in a minimalist, user-focused layout, and the car is produced at BMW’s fossil-fuel-free Plant Debrecen.

BMW’s “secondary first” manufacturing approach means more than a third of the iX3 is made from recycled materials. Over a 200,000 km lifecycle, the iX3 has a 30% smaller carbon footprint than its predecessor. Under the skin, the new battery and motor setup is lighter, charges faster, and comes with bidirectional charging capability for powering devices and even homes.

Digital innovation is everywhere. Four onboard high-powered computers handle everything from driving dynamics and infotainment to climate and comfort. The Panoramic Vision display projects info the full width of the windscreen, complemented by head-up display, touch and voice controls, and upgraded BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant functions. Entertainment, navigation, and charging management are all a tap away—with BMW striving to keep drivers’ “hands on the wheel, eyes on the road.”

Three trim levels let customers spec their perfect ride: base iX3, M Sport, or M Sport Pro, with options like adaptive suspension, Harman Kardon sound, glass roof, and big alloy wheels. Standard kit includes heated seats, wireless charging for devices, and BMW’s latest smart safety and driving features.

The iX3’s exterior stands tall and proud, with classic SAV proportions, elegant lines, and distinctive styling for the kidney grille and lights. Aerodynamics and clever features like flush door handles and an extra storage compartment under the bonnet mean you get more usability and comfort. Towing capability maxes out at 2,000 kg.

BMW’s iX3 is the start of a new chapter in BMW’s history, blending future-focused tech with thoughtful sustainability and classic driving pleasure, and proving that you don’t have to compromise range or excitement to go fully electric. First UK deliveries kick off March 7, 2026.
